Real-Time GPS Spoofing Notifications Are Here

With GPSwise, thousands of pilots and operators already use our live data to understand where GPS jamming and spoofing are happening. That visibility has helped crews, dispatchers, and regulators make sense of a threat that was once invisible.

But watching the map is only part of the picture. The next step is being told when spoofing directly affects you. That’s what we’re introducing today: real-time notifications.

Why Notifications Matter

Spoofing is not a distant or theoretical risk. Over the past year, operators have seen events lasting hours and affecting multiple aircraft in the same region. The technical challenge is detection, but the operational challenge is knowing when your fleet or airspace is involved.

That’s where notifications come in. Instead of scanning dashboards or checking reports after the fact, dispatchers and ops teams are alerted the moment spoofing is detected in their scope.

Two Types of Alerts

  • Fleet alerts – If one of your aircraft is spoofed, your operations team receives a direct notification. They can contact the crew, confirm what the aircraft is experiencing, and provide support while the flight is still airborne.

  • Area alerts – You can also monitor geographic areas such as Flight Information Regions (FIRs). When spoofing starts or stops in that area, you’ll know. This is valuable for ANSPs, spectrum regulators, and operators who rely on GPS for their operation.

How You’ll Receive Them

Notifications are delivered where you work:

  • By email, with incident details that can be logged or forwarded.

  • In Slack, where teams can see the alert together and coordinate a response.

Setup is quick: choose your fleets or areas, pick email, Slack, or both, and you’re ready.

Why Now

Spoofing remains concentrated in certain hotspots, often linked to conflict zones, but its operational impact is spreading. When multiple commercial flights report anomalies in the same airspace, the ripple effects are real: diversions, reroutes, delays, and confusion in the cockpit.

Awareness in real time helps operators:

  • Support crews during active spoofing events

  • Minimize disruption by adapting routes early

  • Provide regulators with objective incident data

  • Strengthen safety oversight with concrete evidence

Try It Yourself

We’re offering a 7-day free trial of GPSwise notifications. During the trial you can:

  • Monitor up to three airline prefixes, 50 ICAO24 aircraft identifiers, or 10 FIRs

  • Receive alerts by email, Slack, or both

  • Access incident details including flights, timing, and location

  • Set up in minutes with no extra integration required
